Four outstanding industry leaders were honored with AGC/WSDOT Distinguished Service Awards at the AGC/WSDOT Annual Meeting on January 8, recognizing careers defined by dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on Washington’s construction industry.

Among this year’s honorees are AGC members Phil Wallace, Kiewit Infrastructure West, and Max Kuney, Max J. Kuney Co., joined by former WSDOT employees Linea Laird and the late Ron Howard. Each recipient was nominated and selected by their peers, underscoring the respect they have earned throughout their careers.

The Distinguished Service Award was established to recognize individuals who exemplify long-term commitment to the construction industry, as well as excellence in leadership, mentorship, education, and service. This year’s honorees reflect those values through decades of contributions that have strengthened the industry, supported colleagues, and helped guide future generations of construction professionals.

From shaping projects and policies to mentoring others and leading by example, these four individuals have left a meaningful and lasting legacy. Their dedication continues to elevate the industry and inspire those who follow in their footsteps.
