VIDEO: Supervisor's Guide to Sanitary Conditions Rules

During the legislative session in 2024, a rlaw was passed requiring construction employers to provide more support for menstruating workers and those who need to express breast milk.  Due to these laws being passed and passed to the Department of Labor and Industries (LNI) for rulemaking and enforcement, AGC and other industry leaders worked with LNI to formalize the rule language for Washington Administrative Code 296-155-140 (6) to meet the legislative intent.  Now that the rule language is final, AGC has created a training tool to assist our members to prepare their site leaders to comply in the field.   That video can be accessed here: ______

It is a brief 4-minute video to remind site supervision of the requirements and some helpful hints on implementation to keep contractors from having complaints and to enhance the worker experience in the field.

Each year, about 670 people are killed nationally in roadway work zones.
In 2021, five fatal workzone crashes occurred on Washington State roads.
Slow down in workzones!
