Prevailing wage surveys underway(Courtesy of Dept. of Labor and Industries)

The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is conducting a voluntary wage and hour survey to set prevailing wage rates for three trades involved in residential construction. The survey covers all work performed on public or private residential construction projects between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. Completed surveys must be submitted by April 24, 2026.

We are surveying the following trades:

L&I identified registered contractors who represented workers in these trades, or whose license status would allow the company to perform this work during the survey period. These contractors will be mailed a survey announcement letter. Interested parties may also fill out a survey on behalf of contractors, see WAC 296-127-019 (4)(c&d).

Contractors and interested parties who choose to participate may submit an electronic survey online or print a survey and mail it to us. Visit the following web page to find instructions and links to start an online survey or download paper surveys: lni.wa.gov/PWSurvey

Please note that participation in the survey is voluntary. Information provided may be made available for public review if requested.

If you have any questions, please contact Sean Anderson in the Prevailing Wage Program at PWSurvey@Lni.wa.gov or by calling 360-902-4626.
