AGC’s BUILD PAC Senior Council extends sincere appreciation to all members who supported the PAC in 2025. Your contributions made a meaningful difference, but the challenges ahead require us to go even further.
As you renew your AGC membership, we encourage you to make your strongest possible investment in AGC’s BUILD PAC and, if you are able, increase your commitment for 2026. Every dollar directly strengthens our ability to elect leaders who understand the importance of a healthy construction industry to Washington’s economy. Together, we can continue building a stronger, more resilient future for our industry.
Washington’s business environment continues to face mounting pressures. During the 2025 legislative session, numerous proposals emerged that would have significantly affected the construction industry, including:
- Significant property tax increases
- A statewide wealth tax
- Expanded contractor liability
- Cost escalation on prevailing wage projects
- PLAs on school construction
Thanks to AGC members’ engagement and support, many of these proposals were successfully defeated. But the work is far from over.
The Legislature is expected to revisit many of the proposals defeated in 2025 and introduce new ones that could significantly affect contractors and the broader business community. Following the 2026 legislative session, all 98 members of the House and 24 members of the Senate will be up for election.
We need your help to protect the interests of Washington’s construction industry. AGC’s BUILD PAC must be ready to support pro-business, pro-construction candidates and oppose those advancing policies that threaten industry stability and economic growth.
