(Nov. 5, 2021) In a bulletin to all members, AGC of Washington has just released our latest update on vaccine mandates.
The OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard was published to the federal register today which sets the framework for the President’s mandate for vaccination for employers with more than 100 workers. Here is a link to our summary matrix that highlights key points of the existing mandates.
First and foremost, we are working to schedule meetings with the Governor’s office and the Department of Labor and Industries to ascertain what changes, if any, will be made to the OSHA mandate for 100+ workers when the rules for Washington are promulgated. Once we have had those discussions, we will announce a townhall meeting to assist our members with navigating the new framework.
In related news, we are pleased to announce that the federal contractor vaccine mandate has a revised compliance deadline of January 4, 2022 to align with the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard timeline.
Please avail yourself to the resources on our COVID compliance website, including the vaccine-mandate page, for more detail. We will be updating that page with more resources as the conversations and resource materials evolve. AGC of Washington remains steadfast in our efforts to inform, assist and advocate for our members on these matters. Stay tuned for more information on upcoming townhall-meeting plans.
