Supplemental Capital Budget boosts housing, water and other projects – The Washington State Legislature recently passed the 2022 supplemental budget.  The biennial capital budget was passed last year; this is the year that simply makes tweaks and some additions to the two-year budget.  But, this supplemental added $1.5 billion in new spending from the capital budget.

The largest proposed investments from the new $1.5 billion are:

• Housing ($440 million);

• Water ($251 million);

• Infrastructure ($200 million);

• Broadband ($100 million);

• School Seismic ($100 million); and

• Behavioral Health and Crisis Stabilization ($98 million).
