Workforce Development: Leading from the Top

In 2018, AGC of Washington created the Culture of CARE initiative to elevate conversations about critical issues that affect the workforce of our industry.

Safety Team is a great example of how AGC has worked to shape the culture of the construction jobsite across our state. With that in mind, we have launched a campaign to broaden this influence to include other key workforce issues such as diversity and inclusion.

In April, we launch a new Culture of CARE initiative to celebrate and promote workplace diversity and to provide resources to help companies become more diverse at every level of their operation. Workforce supply is our industry's top concern. By committing to an inclusive culture that can attract and retain more women and people of color, we can solve the challenges our industry faces as we work to increase the pool of skilled workers.

Join us at the Safety Forum as we discuss best practices and promoting dialogue about what it takes to create a welcoming and enduring place for construction's next generation.

Follow us during the month of April, and look for ongoing resources to help create the Culture of CARE we all want and need for our community.
