Construction sick-leave law takes effect Jan. 1 – Earlier this year, the State Legislature passed a bill requiring that workers covered under the NAICS code for Construction (except for residential construction) who have not met the 90-day sick-leave eligibility threshold at the time of separation must be paid the balance of their accrued and unused sick leave upon separation.
