The 2024 elections are very important and will lay the foundation for the years to come, as we will be electing a new governor for the first time in twelve years. AGC’s BUILD PAC has endorsed Dave Reichert and Mark Mullet. In addition to the Governor’s race, four of the eight statewide offices up for election will be electing new people to run those offices. In the Legislature, all 98 House seats are up, as are twenty-five in the Senate. In 2024, we are primarily playing defense to hold on to seats that are currently held by Republicans or moderate Democrats and to stop a super majority in either of the chambers. In the Senate, Democrats would need to pick up only four seats and they are targeting legislative districts 10, 14, 17 and 18. In the House, they need to pick up eight seats and are targeting districts 14, 17 and 18.

Primary election ballots should be arriving in the mail around July 19 for the August 6 election. It is important to vote in the primary to help get the candidates that support business through the primary and on the general election ballot in November.
