CITC opens craft-laborers program

As of January 15 2015 CITC has been approved by the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council (WSATC) for a Construction-Craft Laborers apprenticeship program. The new program is statewide which means that if a company participates in their laborers program apprentices can work anywhere in Washington and Oregon through state reciprocity. CITC is the “open-shop” version of the unions’ apprenticeship training.

The program meets the State’s apprenticeship-utilization requirements on public projects. Jason Preuit of AGC of Washington-member firm WG Clark Construction is a past Board chair of CITC.
