AGC of Washington has seen a significant increase in membership applications in recent months as area businesses look to reinforce their bottom line. For 2013 as a whole new-member applications grew by about 14 percent over typical years. 2014 however is off to an even busier start with the chapter welcoming 30 new members just since the first of the year.
Certainly some aspects of this growth can be attributed to simple timing with many firms scrambling to decide how best to deal with new Affordable Care Act requirements. But there’s more to it than that. “While our new health plan has surely attracted a lot of very positive attention we’re also seeing many firms also interested in our safety services and group retro plan both of which can also provide some significant advantages of their own” says member-service coordinator Stacy Mullane. “Those benefits are certainly our “big three” top attractions.”
In addition to those AGC offers valuable benefits in the areas of government and labor relations training and education a Future Leadership Forum retirement plans legal assistance a wide range of networking events seminars and presentations exclusive advertising opportunities and even product discounts from popular retailers.
