Pierce County Career Day is an innovative workforce-development tool designed to provide high-school students with hands-on exposure to diverse and growing careers and to provide employers with a pipeline of professionals for tomorrow.
The Pierce County Construction Partnership hosts over 2000 students from all areas of Pierce County at Career events. Preparing the youth of today for the careers of the future is what Pierce County Career Day is all about. Too many students leave high school without an idea of what kind of jobs or careers are available in todays job market.
Through interactive exhibits students will discover the technical skills required to be successful and learn about internships registered apprenticeships training resources and careers in construction aerospace engineering manufacturing utilites and transportation.
Both volunteers and financial sponsors are needed to provide activities equipment and to meet expected costs to host this unique fun and hands-on exploration of careers in construction aerospace engineering manufacturing utilities and transportation industries.
