AGC of Washington - Political Action

BUILD PAC

Builders United In Legislative Development Political Action Committee

SENIOR COUNCIL | PLEDGE A CONTRIBUTION| 147 CLUB | CONTRIBUTION LIMITS

The state’s premier commercial construction political action committee. BUILD PAC supports state and local government candidates and issues effecting the construction industry.

BUILD PAC

The name really does say it all! Contractors (and others) are working together to build:

  • Understanding of construction industry issues
  • Alliances for a stronger presence
  • Reasonable government
  • Progress for Washington State and its citizens

Influencing government has never been more important. Public infrastructure investment, trust fund preservation, workable environmental rules, state agency regulatory reform. These and other issues all affect the quality of, and your ability to conduct, your business. Public or private construction; large or small volume; general, sub, supplier or construction services all benefit from supportive government decisions.

Public officials who understand the importance of the construction industry to the state's economy rarely just happen along. Individuals willing to serve who are able and willing to advocate our industry viewpoints must be identified, encouraged, and supported. This support includes financial assistance in their elections. Your participation is vital.

"Adequate transportation financing will never happen unless we elect Legislators we can talk to."
- Walt Smith, Active Construction, Inc.

"As a building contractor, I realize the importance of good representation in Olympia. Vital decisions are made by the legislature that affect all contractors."
- Chris Clark, W.G. Clark Construction Co.
