• Program/Community-Service/Member Events Committee
Individual members identify a topic of interest to the membership and arrange for presentation at a monthly membership meeting; together select community-service projects for AGC member participation and help plan the annual golf tournament, holiday reception/open house and Blue Angel cruise. This committee meets quarterly.
• Local Government Affairs Committee (LGAC)
Works with local government officials to develop balanced legislation that recognizes business and construction-industry needs; educates local governments about construction-industry issues; advocates district positions on regulatory and other issues, and evaluates candidates for local and state legislative offices. Meets as needed to address issues or evaluate candidates, typically about four times a year. Between meetings, provides feedback via e-mail or LGAC blog.
• Membership Committee
Promotes AGC membership. Individual members commit to recruiting one new company over the course of the year. No meetings other than those committee members arrange with prospective member companies.
