| The AGC of Washington’s Safety Services Department is the commercial
construction industry’s recognized leader in job site safety. Services
are designed to ensure that AGC member companies have all the resources
they need to create and maintain safe working environments that exceed
industry standards. Services include: |
| AGC SAFETY TEAM A
workplace safety program that includes regular job site audits and
safety program consultation. Voluntary membership is open to AGC of
Washington member companies. Benefits include Focused Inspections by
L&I, industry recognition and networking opportunities. |
| SAFETY FORUMS Informal meetings hosted by AGC of Washington
for safety professionals to discuss the current safety issues affecting
the construction industry, and to monitor developments in Washington
State safety regulations. Meetings are held in Seattle, Fife,
Bellingham, and Yakima. Open to all AGC members. |
| SAFETY AUDITS On-site safety audit that will assist your
company in complying with the Department of Labor & Industries,
Division of Occupational Safety & Health regulations. |
| HEALTH and SAFETY RESOURCE LIBRARY AGC Safety Services
maintains an extensive resource library available to all members free of
charge. Resources include: |
- Video Library Over 100
safety-related videos available for member use. This collection
includes an expanded library of Spanish-language videos.

- Toolbox Safety Talks A
library of toolbox safety talks are available to meet your weekly
safety meeting needs. Available in both English and Spanish.

- HEALTH and SAFETY TRAINING AGC’s Safety Services Department
offers training on a wide variety of safety and health topics at little
or no charge. Trainings include:

- OSHA 10-Hour A 10-hour certification training on workplace
safety and health issues in construction. Topics include fall
protection, trenching/excavation, electrical safety, scaffolding,
confined space, personal protective equipment, tools, fire prevention
and protection, and hazard communication.

- Hearing Conservation A hearing loss prevention training
designed to help companies comply with WAC 296-817. After completion of
the training, AGC members may check out a dosimeter and sound level
meter to perform job site hearing screenings on site. Safety Services
staff is available to assist with the screening.

- Soft Tissue Injury Prevention Training 5 training modules
designed by AGC to reduce workplace soft tissue injuries are available.
Includes trade specific tip sheets on methods to reduce exposure to soft
tissue injury risks.

- Customized Training AGC’s Safety Services Department is
available to develop custom trainings for your company. Please contact
us for all your training needs.

| CONSULTATION AGC Safety Department staff is available to
provide technical support and assistance in developing and implementing
customized safety programs for your company. |
| CRISIS
MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE If a safety related injury or death
occurs on a member company’s job site, AGC Safety Services staff is
available to assist your staff in managing the crisis. |

PRODUCTS AGC Safety products available to members include: a composite poster of Federal and State required job site postings, AGC Safety Team banners, stickers, and crane log books. AGC Safety logo apparel will be available in the near future.
