Government Affairs Council

The Government Affairs Council is the AGC group responsible for legislative, regulatory and political representation of AGC members. Council members consider issues, evaluate policy implications and make policy recommendations to the AGC Board of Trustees. The Council guides a proactive program to represent the AGC’s positions on legislation and regulations at the local, state and federal government levels while improving government’s understanding of general contractors and the construction industry. The Council oversees the efforts of AGC members and Government Affairs staff to influence government decisions which affect the livelihood of contractors and impacts their ability to run a profitable business.
