Modified Duty Site Resource Center
|
AGC has the most advanced return-to-work services in the state. Both Labor and the Department of Labor and Industries (LNI) recognize the curriculum and the Modified Duty Site Resource Center program as meaningful and viable temporary transitional work. We have four “centers” located throughout the state: Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane and Everett. We also contract with FACT Consulting and provide a center in Yakima.
For injured employees restricted from travel, or for employers desiring to have the employee at their office, we have the same safety curriculum portable for use at any location. AGC Retro consultants send the job analysis & list of duties to the doctor and the job offer letter to the worker (directions to the classroom, etc.). For an employer packet click here.
Fees:
There is no fee or tuition for AGC Group Retro Participants enrolled in an open plan year. Non-AGC members will be charged $50.00 per day for tuition and administrative expenses. Non-Retro AGC members will be charged $35.00 per day for tuition and administrative expenses. Members of competing retro programs, regardless of AGC affiliation, will be charged $150.00 per day for tuition and administrative expenses. Employers will be invoiced within 30 days of release of the employee from the Modified Duty Program by Safety Educators, Inc. Payment is then due within 15 days.
Employers must coordinate with their AGC claims consultant and should contact Thom Willson at 253.219.4765 to secure a reservation for eligible workers.
If a company needs an employer packet (includes: job analysis to send to the doctor, directions to the classroom, job offer letter, etc.) for any of these programs, call the AGC Group Retro Office at Toll Free 888.227.3876.
Retraining Programs
If workers are not released to return to their job of injury and do not have transferable skills in a sedentary job, they may be entitled to LNI vocational retraining benefits. In order to provide people injured in the trades with an opportunity to remain in the industry they enjoy while enabling them to earn a more comparable salary , Safety Educators, Inc. has three retraining programs approved by LNI: Safety Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, and Building Inspector. These programs involve classroom and on-the-job training (OJT). The Building Inspector position involves and OJT with the Department of Labor and Industries.
90% of the graduates of these programs are directly placed with an employer upon completion of the program. Click here for more details.
